1940s

  • During WWII, supplied flower arrangements, table decorations, and refreshments for USO
  • Established an herb garden and planted boxwood, tulips, mums, impatiens, and begonias at the Arkansas Territorial Restoration (now Historic Arkansas Museum) and took care of parterre garden
  • Continued Junior Garden Clubs in public schools and held a Junior Flower Show
  • Planted and maintained the Red Cross Chapter grounds
  • Worked with Arkansas Federation of Garden Clubs to improve sanitary conditions in cities
  • Helped pass motion against billboards along Cantrell Road and Highway 10

1950s

  • Planned, planted, and cared for Pulaski County Courthouse Garden
  • Gave a decorative cast-iron fountain, brick walks, marble bench, and trees to Pulaski County Courthouse Garden
  • Landscaped grounds of Hall High School
  • Assisted in beautifying 12th Street entrance to War Memorial Park
