Adopt-A-Street Litter Project was established in response to member input from the 2024-2029 Strategic Plan. It was launched in 2025 to encourage hands-on-community involvement. Partnering with the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department, members will help beautify the War Memorial Woodland Trail by managing litter in a safe, accessible location in central Little Rock. This project reflects our core values established by the Charter Members of community service and environmental stewardship.
The LRGC connection to the War Memorial Woodland Trail began in 2023 as part of the commemoration of our Centennial. We collaborated with the City of Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department and City Parks Conservancy to upgrade the War Memorial Woodland Trail. This effort was supported by a $24,000 Centennial Grant which funded 31 shade trees, constructing a large boulder seating area at the north entrance, and designing and installing a pollinator garden. These enhancements promote conservation and community engagement, while maintaining the War Memorial Woodland Trail Centennial Grant and further honoring our century-long legacy.
